Show CAD-Point

The Show CAD Point function uses the Flexijet 3D to automatically project a point.

To project a CAD point:

• From the Flexijet tab, click on the Show CAD-point function from the Show CAD-point (perpendicular) icon.
  

• Now, click or tap on the point of your drawing where you would like Flexijet to point.
  

• Flexijet will move to project that point.
  

When the Flexijet laser has reached the point, you will notice that the Command panel in FlexiCAD will also display a distance value, indicating the height difference between the plane and the point currently being projected. For example, a reading of -4.7 indicates a distance of 4.7mm below the plane.

Flexijet will point the point at the height of the plane selected. Depending on variations in the surface, Flexijet may be pointing slightly above or below the actual object.

*NOTE: When projecting at a point perpendicular, it is recommended instead to use the ‘Show CAD-point (perpendicular)’ function instead as it will automatically adjust for variations in thickness/level of the surface of projection.
