Offset Plane

A folder with a defined plane can be offset exactly parallel to its current location using the ‘Offset Plane’ command.

To offset a plane:

• Right-click on the desired plane and click on Plane>Offset plane.
  
• Enter the value by which to offset the plane. A positive value will move the plane toward the screen, while a negative value will move it ‘away’ from the view on the screen.
  

!Note: this function will move all elements assigned to the folder, including 3d elements such as measurement points. Consider duplicating the folder and contents using the ‘Copy and paste folder’ command prior to using this command to preserve the original position of these 3D elements.
