Auto-dimension

The auto-dimension function displays the dimensions and angles of all elements displayed in a folder. This function is especially useful for double-checking measurements during the measurement process.

You can activate auto dimensioning of every folder, the entire room, or the construction project at any time, including during a measurement.

How to use Auto-Dimension

• Select the appropriate folder in the Project Explorer
• Activate the command Auto dimension from the measurement ribbon.
  
• The selected folder and all subfolders are automatically dimensioned.

To remove all the dimensions generated

• Simply click on Remove auto dimension.
  
• All dimensions generated before will be removed.

Options for autodimensions

• Under the drop-down menu for Auto dimension, click on the options for auto dimension button.
  
• This will pop up
  
• On here you can:
  • Selecting the Dimension Style for Length Dimensions (tolerances can be set)
  • Selecting the Dimension Style for Angular Dimensions
  • Selecting the Dimension Style for Diameter Dimensions
  • Specifying a Range of Length for Automatic Line Dimensioning
• Activation/deactivation of automatic diameter dimensioning of
  circles.
  

*The dimension style “autodim” is used for auto dimension. If this style is not available (for example, with a template drawing), it is
Created automatically.

*NOTE: Dimensions created using the Auto-Dimension command are generally not used for production. For finalized dimensions, it is recommended to create dimensions individually using the appropriate dimension command (Horizontal, Vertical, Angular, etc.).
