Acknowledgement of Fallen Lifesavers

The Acknowledgement of Fallen Lifesavers is a chance for members and the community to pay respect to lifesavers who have lost their lives protecting our beaches. This occurs on the second last Sunday of patrol. Clubs can acknowledge this with a minute’s silence and flags being flown at half-mast or by holding a ceremony of commemoration. Clubs can pay their respects to our fallen lifesavers and their families, by marching down the beach carrying the Australian flag and wreaths.
