Surf Life Saving Queensland (SLSQ) is committed to research and improving current and new lifesaving equipment for patrols to operate on beaches, and to continue to provide pathways for our members.

There is a specific process and application that is required below, that clubs are to follow to apply for an RWC.

PROCESS
Before a club can apply for an RWC they must have a Coastal Safety Audit performed on their beach. These can be conducted by clubs contacting their relevant Lifesaving Services Coordinator/Regional Operations Manager. Once the Audit has been completed with recommendations, they can complete the application in full using the below Jotform link. Your application will be sent to the Club President and Club Captain for endorsement, it will then be sent to the relevant Branch for Director of Lifesaving for endorsement. The application will be tabled to the State Lifesaving Committee for final approval. Once your application is successful the club will receive an MOU to be signed by the Club, Branch and State. Clubs are only able to apply for grants to purchase an RWC once approval has been granted by SLSQ.
