Preparation:

  • Shut down and lock out all power to ATevo.
  • Wait several minutes to allow internal voltage potentials in capacitors to bleed off.
  • Remove safety shield and check with a voltmeter.

For ATevo models rated 16-50 Adc:

The eliminator filter (C2) consists of a single electrolytic capacitor, with two (2) wires connected directly to the Power Board (A2).

  • See also Service Instruction (JD5078-02).
  • Locate the ‘blue can’ capacitor (C2) at back-left of ATevo:
    • Style-5070: mounted to top base with a clamping bracket

Removal of Existing Capacitor (C2x) Assembly:

  • Loosen screw on clamping bracket – at base of capacitor.
  • Disconnect wires (attached to C2 eliminator capacitor) from Power Board (A2). Replacement C2 capacitor assembly will have new wires with pre-crimped terminals.
  • Remove existing wired eliminator capacitor.

Installation of NEW C2 Capacitor Assembly:

  • Connect wires of new C2 capacitor assembly to Power Board.
  • Secure new (replacement) C2 capacitor to ATevo base in same location and manner as one removed above.
  • Replace safety shield, and close front panel door.
  • Restart ATevo.

For ATevo models rated 75-100 Adc:

The C2 filter is mounted next to the C1 filter capacitor(s), and connects to the C1 capacitor with a bus bar.

Follow instructions in Section 14.3.8, for replacing both C1 and C2 caps together.
