The new Reference Synchronization feature in the Process module allows users to keep reference data in sync across related processes, promoting consistent and accurate process documentation. By enabling synchronization of selected reference attributes between source and target processes, this feature enhances the integrity of linked information, minimizing discrepancies and ensuring alignment throughout the system.

Key Benefits

  • Ensures up-to-date, consistent documentation for all linked processes.
  • Allows users to selectively sync attributes of references for greater control.
  • Improves accuracy and integrity of business process documentation.
  • Simplifies management of process references, reducing manual updates.

How It Works

  1. Select Attributes to Sync
    • Go to the Details view of the source process.
    • Open the Edit dropdown menu and select ‘Edit Sync Details’ to open the Edit Sync Details form.
      • Alternatively, in the Diagram Editor, right-click on the relevant flow objects and select ‘Edit Sync Details.
    • Use this form to choose which attributes to synchronize, similar to the process used in Localization Synchronization.
  2. Initiate Synchronization
    • Click on the “Sync to Ref./Local” button, available in both the Diagram and Details views of the source process.
    • Selecting this option will update the reference(s) with the synchronized data from the source process.
