The latest update significantly expands the functionality of injecting custom property information into Word documents. Previously, only default custom properties were available for injection into documents. Now, the system allows the automatic injection of all User-Defined Attributes (UDAs) from the document module into Word documents.
Key improvements include:
Injection of All UDAs
Instead of just the default properties, all UDAs associated with a document are now automatically injected into the document. This provides a more comprehensive and customizable set of metadata to be included in documents.
Automatic Injection Without Pre-existing UDAs
The update removes the requirement for UDAs to already exist within the document. Previously, UDAs had to be manually included in the document before they could be injected. Now, all relevant UDAs from the document module are automatically injected into the document, streamlining the process and reducing manual setup.
Prefix for UDAs
To maintain clarity and avoid any conflicts, the UDAs are added to the document with the prefix “uda_”. This ensures that each injected UDA is clearly identifiable and distinguishes it from other types of properties or fields in the document.
Backward Compatibility
The new functionality is fully backward compatible, meaning that documents that already contain UDAs will continue to work seamlessly with the new feature, ensuring that existing documents are not affected by the update.
