4.4.4.2.10 Impacts

Users can view the impacts of an object on others in a list format within the Details view of any object. This feature complements the Impact Map, providing an alternative way to visualize impact data. The impact list only displays direct impacts, while the impact map can be expanded to show indirect impacts on an object.

Understanding the various associations within an organization helps users grasp the complexities of specific business activities and the true effects of changes to an object. Impact data can be instrumental in educating business users, analyzing internal processes, and enabling management to optimize activities effectively. Additionally, it aids in preparing change management plans, allowing managers to map out the effects of organizational changes.

Navigating to the Impact List

1. Go to the Details view of EPC object.
2. Locate and expand the Impact accordion.
3. All direct impacts associated with the object will be listed.

*The column will be sorted alphabetically. Click on its header to change the sorting. An upward-pointing arrow indicates sorting in Ascending Order, a downward-pointing arrow indicates Descending Order, and no arrow signifies No Sorting.

The impact list includes the following information for each entry:

• Object Name: The name of the object. Click the hyperlink to navigate to the object.
• SSN: The System Serial Number of the object.
• Parent: The parent object of the current item.
• Object Type: The type of the object.
• Assignment Type: The relationship type between the objects.
• Justification: The justification for the object’s existence.
• Impact Type: How this object impacts the current object.
• Status: The status of the object (In Progress or Published).
  

Impact Recommendations

Users can view the suggested impacts of an object in a list format within the Details view. The recommended impacts are presented in descending order of confidence level, starting with the most likely impacting object down to the least likely.

Users can filter the recommendations by object types using the Select Module dropdown:

1. Select the desired object types.
2. Click on to refresh the list and display only the selected items.
   

3. To remove a filter click on its x button and refresh the list again.

The suggested impacts table includes:

• Preview Button: Allows users to preview the object and optionally navigate to the object.
• Assign To Button: Only in the Rule module, this button allows users to directly assign the recommendations to the impacts list.
• Object Name: The name of the object. Click the hyperlink to navigate to the object.
• SSN: The System Serial Number of the object.
• Parent: The parent object of the current item.
• Object Type: The type of the object.
• Status: The status of the object (In Progress or Published).
• Confidence Level: The confidence level indicating the likelihood of impact.
• View More Button: Allows users to load more recommendations.
  

AI Capability – Mass Impact Recommendations

Users can utilize AI to generate a list of impact recommendations for multiple items simultaneously. This list displays the chosen items along with the top two objects that the AI identifies as most impacted. Additionally, this feature allows users to associate the impact recommendations with selected items with just one click.
