The safety and well-being of students is our first priority. In conjunction with our partner groups and organizations, the College is carefully monitoring the situations and will make determinations/changes about travel during these times as conditions require.

In addition to working closely with our faculty and program providers on the ground, OIE and the College monitor situations around the world and take into consideration various factors and resources, which include but are not limited to:

  • U.S. Department of State Travel Advisory System
  • CDC & WHO guidance
  • Overseas Security Advisory Council (OSAC) managed by the Bureau of Diplomatic Security
  • Specific information from partners on the ground
  • How local circumstances and responses abroad may impact our ability to effectively support our students on study abroad programs.
  • Student’s willingness to accept the risks of transit and travel to the study abroad location
