General Orientation by OIE

Please contact OIE for the orientation schedule for January and Summer term study-travel courses. For J-term study-travel, the OIE will conduct two general pre-departure orientation sessions in the fall, and students are strongly encouraged to attend one of them. At the orientation students receive information, in addition to this Student Handbook, our session covers topics relevant to all course participants traveling internationally (insurance, money matters, communications, health and safety tips, etc.).

Course/Country Specific Orientation by Instructors

At least one course-specific pre-departure orientation will be conducted by the instructor prior to departure.

The orientation could also include, but should not be limited to the following topics:
