Since College policy no longer allows refunds to be issued to students upon the completion of study-travel courses, you will be asked to revisit your program cost per student and reduce the cost as necessary based on your enrollment numbers by July 31 for J-term and by January 8 for Summer Term. Course fees may not be increased once enrollment begins.
FIRST FRIDAY OF AUGUST (effective January 2024 travel forward)
January Term study-travel course fees are billed with Fall tuition. Payment of the student account balance is due in full by this date. If a student account balance is not in good standing at this point, they could be withdrawn from the J-term study-travel course and their spot forfeited.
FIRST FRIDAY OF SEPTEMBER – ABSOLUTE deadline for students to withdraw from a study-travel course and receive a full refund (except for the non- refundable $100 withdrawal fee).
ON & AFTER SEPTEMBER 15
- ABSOLUTE deadline for students to add a study-travel course. Students adding the course after August due date must pay in full at time of registration.
- Funds become available to instructors through their 8-00-XXXX-2306 accounts with the Business Office.
- Once funds have been spent on a student’s behalf, it may not be possible to recover those funds in the event of cancellation or a student’s withdrawal from the program.
- The $100 withdrawal fees of any withdrawn students will be removed from course accounts at, or soon after, the time of the student’s withdrawal from the course, or when the deadline for final payment has passed. These funds will be added to the College’s study-travel contingency fee account, which supports study-travel groups in the event of an emergency. Faculty members should not include the $100 fees from students who withdraw as part of the budgets for their courses, as these funds will not be available.
