The following Properties can be configured for Users under the Options tab:

Ensure that Windows Login ID is set to WORKGROUP\user1 (replace ‘WORKGROUP’ with whatever your workgroup is called if different).

  • PIN – This is a longer number that can be applied instead of a shortcode for user authentication at a PriApps managed device, making it more secure. For added security a Shortcode/ PIN code can be applied.
  • Confirm PIN – This field is used to confirm the user’s PIN for security reasons.
  • Card ID – This field is used for ID card authentication at the printer or MFP using an ID card reader. It contains the Card ID of the user’s ID card. When using self-registration, the user’s ID card unique number will be stored here. It is also possible for an Administrator to manually enter the unique number of the user’s ID card here.
  • Auto Release all Jobs on Login – If this option is checked all held jobs in a user’s myQueue will be automatically released after they have logged into the managed printer or MFP.
  • Windows Login ID – This only needs to be added if a manual user is created, as this is the ID that is matched against the job owner.
  • Favorite Target – This optional field defines the preferred printer/MFP for a user in a direct printing deployment.
  • Department Code – This optional field can be used to define the default department code for a user if required.
  • Company – this optional field can be used to define the name of the Company to which the user belongs.
  • LDAP Update Locked? – If checked the user’s details will not be updated by the LDAP Sync.
  • Introductory Email Sent – If checked, the user will have already been sent an introductory email. Reset to resend an introductory email.
  • Home Directory – this optional field defines the home directory of the user. This field is typically populated during an LDAP/AD sync and can be used by PriApps to share the location with other MFPs apps in a Single Sign-On (SSO) capacity, such as scanning applications for scan-to-homefolder workflows.
  • Security Level – This field details the security level of the user within the PriApps system. Most users will have a security level of User. This can be changed to the following by selecting the drop-down box:
    • Developer – Full access to the complete system (this is not recommended and should only be used by PriApps Support).
    • Administrator – Full access, except for PriApps system Internals.
    • Operator – Used for day-to-day activities such as running reports etc.
    • User – Submit their own jobs and can only view their jobs.
  • Delegator Group – this optional field defines a delegator group that this user can release jobs for on behalf of the members of the selected delegator group.
  • Home Server – the field defines the users Home Server in an Enterprise Deployment
