The Action Items Management section can be broken down into two supersets: (1) Categorization (that is, the modules labelled Action Items List, Action Items List [Admin], and Execute Independent Action Item List) and (2) Procedure (that is, the modules labelled Define an Action Item and Execute Independent Action Item). With regards to the first case, Categorization refers to the organizational system applied to action items during their creation. It is used as an associative trait to better govern data as it is created and added to the tool. In the second case, Procedure refers to the procedural requirements associated with an action item.

Selecting the Action Items Management section of the BCM application directs users to the following subcategories:

  1. Define an Action Item
  2. Action Items List
  3. Action Items List – Admin
  4. Execute Independent Action Item
  5. Execute Independent Action Item List
