6. BCM Application Forms and Workflows

In the sections of the manual that follow, we will be delving into the various forms and workflows of the BCM application.

Generally, the workflows of the BCM application can be divided into four supersets:

1. Business Impact Analysis

This workflow is composed of four main forms: Business Impact Analysis, Complete BIA, Review BIA, and Modify BIA.

2. Business Continuity Plan

This workflow is composed of three main forms: Business Continuity Plan, Review/Update BCP, and Modify BCP.

3. Disaster Recovery

This workflow encompasses two workflows:

1. Simulate DRP
   • The Simulate DRP workflow is composed of three main forms: Simulate Disaster Recovery Plan, Execute AI, and Sign-Off.
     
2. Execute DRP
   • The Execute DRP workflow is composed of three main forms: Execute Disaster Recovery Plan, Execute AI, and Sign-Off.
     

4. Action Items

This workflow also encompasses two workflows:

1. Define Action Items
   • The Define Action Items workflow is composed of three main forms: Define an Action Item, Review/Update AI, and Modify AI.
     
2. Execute Action Items
   • The Execute Action Items workflow is composed of four main forms: Execute Independent Action Item, Execute Independent AI, Review Action Completion, and Execute Independent AI Again.
