In this section, users can request a new business impact analysis. Upon submission, it will trigger the BIA workflow.

  1. Creation Date: This field is automatically populated with the date that the BIA was created. It cannot be modified.
  2. ID: This field is automatically populated with the ID of the BIA. The ID number will automatically increase by 1. It is a unique identifier. It cannot be modified.
  3. Active: This field is automatically selected whenever a BIA is created. It marks the BIA out as active. It cannot be modified.
    • BIAs need to be active in order to be included in the Business Continuity Plan (BCP) and the Disaster Recovery Plan (DRP).
  1. Process: This is a single-select dropdown field that retrieves the list of processes from EPC. It is a mandatory field. It allows users to select only one value at a time from the dropdown.
  2. Process Owner: This field is automatically populated when a process is selected from the dropdown. It displays the owner of the process.
  3. Functional Responsibility: This field is automatically populated when a process is selected from the dropdown. It displays the functional responsibility of the process owner.
  4. Process Link: This link is automatically generated when a process is selected from the dropdown. Clicking the link takes users to the actual process in EPC.
  5. Process Description: This field is automatically populated when a process is selected from the dropdown. It displays the description of the process.
  6. Assets and Flow Objects: When a process is selected from the dropdown, a list of the flow objects and assets associated with the EPC process is automatically pulled up.
  7. Export to Excel: This button allows users to export selected columns from the grid to Excel.
  8. Excel Template: This button allows users to generate an Excel template of the grid.
  9. Import from Excel: This button allows users to import data (inside columns) from an Excel sheet into the grid.
  10. Assign To: This is a single-select dropdown field that retrieves the list of users. The selected user/assignee will receive the next step of the workflow (Complete BIA). It is a mandatory field.
  11. Submit Form: This button allows users to submit the form.
