2.5 Contest Type Settings

SLSA have set up most race types used by the organisation. Contest Type/disciplines such as Surf Race, Board Race, 25m Brick Carry or IRB Tube Race.
To create a new Contest Type for your organisation, click New button (located bottom left of screen from the Super – Contest Type menu) and fill in all the fields.
Important to select if the contest type is a ‘solo’ or ‘team’ contest.

1. By clicking the + sign at the bottom left of screen will bring up the Participant Role. A Role for each Contest Type must be created.
2. From the drop-down box in the Role section select the appropriate role for the Contest Type you are creating.

Examples:
For a solo contest you would assign 1 x ‘general competitor’
For an IRB Mass Contest you would assign 1 x IRB Driver Role, 1 x IRB Crewman Role and 2 x IRB Patient Roles. You would not use general competitor in an IRB Team Contest Type because specific award checking criteria has been applied to these roles.
For a Board Relay Contest – you would assign 3 x general competitor roles.
