As of January 2019 Davis allowed free downloads of the local Weatherlink software (ie Weatherlink for Windows and Weatherlink for Mac). These free downloads are only accessible via the weatherlink.com platform (eg and not via the Davis support website) and you must register a (free) account at weatherlink.com before being able to download the software. Instructions are:
1. Go to weatherlink.com and, if you do not already have an account, register a new account there. This is simple to do, it is free and requires only a name, email address and password for the new account to be registered. Once a new account has been established then log on to that account. You do not need a weather station actively uploading to weatherlink.com to do this.
2. In the right-hand sidebar of the weatherlink.com page then click on the Account Information icon (the one that looks vaguely like a body icon). If you cannot see the right-hand sidebar then click on the ‘hamburger’ menu at the top right, which should call up the sidebar.
3. Now in the right-hand sidebar you should be able to see an item called Computer Software. Click on this item.
4. You should now see download options for Windows and Mac versions. For each version there is also an option to download the Full version or an Update version. If this is a new installation then you will need the Full version, but if you already have an older version of Weatherlink installed then the Update version may suffice. The Full version is a large download – we suggest that you only download this version if you’re creating a new Weatherlink installation. But if the Update version is not working for you then it would make sense to try the Full download, especially if the Weatherlink version that you are seeking to update is very old.
