Requirements to setup AMA

Each item in the following list is needed to run and fully utilize the AMA application in an Axis camera.

  • A Observit Enterprise Center account
  • NTP and DNS in the camera to get the correct time
  • AMA app installed, configured, and started in the camera
  • To connect and access the camera, a number of ports must be open for outbound traffic.
  • The client firewall must also allow outbound traffic on a few specific ports
    These ports are specific to each customer and service, please contact Observit support to make sure that your network meets our requirements

Setup procedure for AMA

Axis camera with Edge Storage

Axis camera and a power-supply.
Set the NTP and DNS in the camera to get the correct time.

Internet Connection

An internet connection is required to connect and access the camera remotely.

Preparation

Local PC preparation

AXIS IP Utility and AXIS Device Manager are recommended methods for finding Axis products on the network and assigning them IP addresses in Windows®. Both applications are free and can be downloaded from at the Axis website. The camera will be accessed from a browser. If you need more information about recommended browsers, go to www.axis.com/browser-support

Observit Enterprise Center (OEC)

Your sales representative has requested a personal account from Observit support, please check your junk folder before requesting a new account.

OEC, cloud system setup

Open a web-browser and log in to the cloud service with the login credentials you received from Observit, Google Chrome and Firefox are recommended browsers.
The client firewall must allow outbound traffic on some specific ports, please contact Observit support before opening unnecessary ports.
