A view can either be modified using the Lightning Conductor grid view display column properties, or through the Advanced Configuration dialog. In the next section, we will focus on modifying the properties using the Grid View.
Column Properties
You can access the column properties by clicking the downward arrow on each column. The column properties provide the ability to sort by the column in Ascending or Descending order, as well as filters, advanced filters, and other column settings such as column formatting, grouping, and column positioning.
Sorting by Column
As an end user, you can click Sort Ascending or Sort Descending on each column. The sorting will apply immediately, and will only affect you as a user and not other users accessing the same page. If you wish to clear the sorting, clicking the Column Properties drop down icon, will provide the option to clear the sorting.
If you wish to change the permanent sort order of the view for all users, or sort by multiple columns, please use the Advanced View.
Filtering by Column
As an end user, you can filter the results of the Lightning Conductor through the column settings dropdown. The filters applied through the grid view will only affect you as a user. You can apply simple filters (filters set on one column). Your filter can have an operator and a value such as equal (1) High on the Priority column. If you want to add multiple conditions, you can click the Add condition link, and specify an ‘And’ or ‘Or’ operator.
If you wish to filter across columns, you can use the Advanced Filter.
Advanced Filter
The Advanced Filter allows you to specify a filter across multiple columns with an outer operator of And or Or.
