Microsoft® SharePoint® provides users with the ability to create Team Sites in order for their teams to collaborate by using SharePoint lists and SharePoint document libraries to create and store content. SharePoint Team Sites can also be created via Microsoft Teams or Office 365 groups. Such lists include Tasks, Contacts, Announcements, Links, Documents, Custom Lists etc. Each SharePoint Team Site is either organized within a hierarchy known as a site collection, or created as a flat structure such as with Hub sites or Modern Team Sites. A challenge within businesses is the time that it takes to find content. Business users rarely have the free time to navigate the Team Site structure looking for specific documents or list items, or even documents or list items that they are not conscious of their existence. For example, most business users make full use of Microsoft Outlook or other email client tools. They use them and rarely overlook announcements, tasks or meetings, because those items are all displayed in one place. This is not the case within SharePoint. Business Users would need to navigate to each Team Site that is relevant to them, in order to see if Tasks have been assigned to them, Calendar entries have been made, or new announcements have been created one site at a time. Using the Lightning Conductor, you can maintain the structure of your Team Sites, but use the Lightning Conductor to aggregate content such as Documents, Tasks and Announcements from multiple Team Sites from anywhere within your SharePoint Tenant and display that content in one place.

The Lightning Conductor can be configured quickly, without code to display content from SharePoint lists and libraries and display that information in a single view. Conditional Formatting can also be applied so that key business data can highlighted to each user.

The Lightning Conductor can be configured by business users within a Team Site or Page easily, with views that contain multiple columns from the lists and libraries. The results are security trimmed, and optionally targeted towards the users audience members to display relevant content.
The below video display a typical SharePoint environment, and how the Lightning Conductor can be configured to display content from that SharePoint environment.
