Instructions for the auth queue

 To access the Authorization Queue within SAMMS, click on Third Party in the Tool Bar at the top of the SAMMS screen.
 Then click on Authorizations.

 The screen will show all authorizations for the clinic you are in. To use the auth que you can sort in several ways.
 In the Find Bar, you can choose from any column to narrow down your search.

For example, you can sort by counselor to pull up auths under one specific counselor.

 You can then sort by payer and end date or status of the auth.

You can choose a start and end date range, then refresh. If there are special circumstances, you can add a note by clicking on Add note to selected auth. If new auth is already obtained, you can ignore and move to the next expiring auth.

 You can refresh the screen to begin another search. The information you have filtered can then be exported to excel and saved as a report.

An Authorization can be hidden or temporarily removed from the production queue when filtering your upcoming authorizations

To access this feature, access the authorization queue and highlight the row/rows that you want to temporarily remove and press “D” on your keyboard

SAMMS will generate a confirmation before removing the authorization from the grid
