Roll Boat Over

Remove the building jigs/stands that the boat has been built on. Put some foam down and recruit a couple helpers to roll the boat upside down. The boat should not weigh much at this point but take your time and try to protect all boat surfaces from point loads and do it in a safe/controlled manner. Once upside down, block it up so that it is stable and does not shift around when you work on it.

Detail Bow Shape

Spend some time shaping the foam planks in the forward bow area. Use a longboard and round this area into a nice shape. Check frequently that you are shaping the two sides symmetrically. Add thickened epoxy as needed. When you think you have the shape close to desired, apply a min. of 16 oz of glass overlapping onto the preglassed panels by 2”. Roll on two fill coats of unthickened epoxy once the laminate as setup.
