Attach Ballast Tank Lid- Dry fit the ballast tank lid and trim to fit if needed. Use thickened epoxy and a squeezy bag to lay down a thick bead of epoxy ontop of the ballast tank beams. Then press down the ballast tank lid with light weights. While the epoxy is still soft, sweep in a 1/2“r fillet around the top of the ballast tank lid. Add 6oz glass tape around the top.

Now assemble the ballast tank fill and also glue in the v-berth beam. Apply nice structural fillets in all corners. Apply some fiberglass along all outside corners of the tank fill. The ballast tank can see a bit of pressure when full, and as such, it is important to make sure all corners of the tank are adequately strengthened with fiberglass and fillets.
