Follow the laminate schedule described in "2.4 Laminate Flat Panels". The doubler adds stiffness to the edge of the opening in the companionway-- doubling the thickness of the core in that location adds 4x the stiffness. The surface laminates should be the same as the rest of the panel.

Please provide details for the Comp Coming. I have laminated the Comp Bulk to the Comp Doubler with large chamfers.

You can add the Comp Doubler before laminating but make sure you create a nice ramp for the glass by either chamfering the doubler edge or sweeping a generous epoxy fillet around the doubler. Their are directions later on in the build for preassembling panels such as the bottom doublers.

Should the Comp Doubler to the Comp Bulkhead before laminating? Are there any other parts that should be preassembled apart from joining panels?
