Excavate and Fill Foam Panel Edge

Use a dremel to excavate the foam in the exposed edge of the centerboard trunk. Excavate the foam down to about 1/4” depth being carefull not to destroy the laminate surface. Backfill this area with thickened epoxy. Once cured, shape the area and put a 1/8” radius on the inside edges. Apply a 2” wide 6oz piece of glass tape across the edge making sure not to get big drips into the trunk. Apply two fill coats over the glass, let cure, and then sand smooth.
