9.1.4.1. Select [Instance]

In the Select [Instance] form, users can choose the instance to assign to the action.

1. Select [Instance]: This is a single-select dropdown field that retrieves the list of available instances. It is a mandatory field. It allows users to select an instance by either entering its name or clicking the arrow icon.

   Depending on the chosen source, clicking the arrow icon may either:

   • Show a list of options directly in the window.
   • Open another window with a grid for further selection.
     • In this window, users select an entry by double-clicking, which returns them to the Select [Instance] window with the chosen instance now populating the dropdown field.
       
       
       

2. Save and Return: This button allows users to save the selection and return to the New Action form.
3. Save and New: This button allows users to save the selection and open a new window to make another selection.

!An action can be linked to only one instance, which can be ongoing or closed. Selecting a new instance will replace the previous selection.
