Below are the types of internal actions users can select, each tailored to address specific needs within the organization:

  1. Other
  2. Create a New Control
  3. Documentation Needs Updating
  4. Retraining or New Training Required

1. Other

This option is used when an internal action does not match the predefined categories.

If selected, no additional fields will appear. Instead, users should provide a clear description of the required action in the Description field to ensure proper understanding and execution.

2. Create a New Control

This option is used when a new control needs to be established within the organization.

If this option is selected, the following fields become visible:

  • Select Folder: This is a single-select dropdown field that retrieves the list of control folders from EPC. It is a mandatory field. It allows users to choose the folder where the new control will be created.
    • Rather than a dropdown menu, this field opens a pop-up window.
    • Once a folder is chosen, its name will populate the Folder Name field.
  • Control Name: This is a text field that allows users to input a name for the control.
  • Identifier: This is a text field that allows users to input a unique identifier for the control.
  • Control Definition Details: This is a rich text field that allows users to provide a description of the control.

3. Documentation Needs Updating

This option is used when existing documentation needs to be revised or updated.

If selected, the following fields become visible:

  • Module: This is a single-select dropdown field that retrieves the list of EPC modules (Process, Document, Rule, Control, and Capability). It allows users to choose the module containing the relevant documentation.
    • Once a module is selected, the Folder field becomes visible:
      • Folder: This is a single-select dropdown field that retrieves the list of folders within the selected module. It allows users to choose the folder containing the relevant documentation.
        • Rather than a dropdown menu, this field opens a pop-up window.
        • Once a folder is chosen, its child objects will populate the Objects grid.
          • Select All: This button allows users to select all child objects in the grid for assignment.
          • Deselect All: This button allows users to deselect all child objects in the grid.
          • Assign Selected: This button allows users to assign the selected child objects in the grid.
            • Once assigned, these objects will populate the Improvement Request(s) grid.

4. Retraining or New Training Required

This option is used when employees need to undergo new or additional training.

If selected, the following field becomes visible:

  • Training Requirement: This is a rich text field that allows users to provide a description of the required training, including its content, scope, and objectives.
