Vehicle classes differentiate the different vehicle categories that customers can select when booking, depending on the size, feature, and model e.g., Luxury model; Large, etc. The system will recognize your vehicle classes and automatically assign it to your vehicles
1. Name and description: Specify the name and the description of the class (category) the customers will see when booking.
2. Minimum and maximum seats: Define how many passengers the vehicle class can support. The maximum number of seats should match the largest vehicle type within the class. For example, if you add a Minibus type with 20 seats, the class must support up to 20 seats for this vehicle to be included.
3. Vehicle types: Specify which vehicle types belong to this vehicle class.
4. Filters: Defines which Companies, Makes, or Tags apply to this vehicle class.
- Company filter: You can filter the vehicle class by selecting single or multiple companies to be considered to be a part of the class or to be excluded from the class. To filter a vehicle class by company, the system checks the “Branded as” setting under Vehicles → General. This means only vehicles explicitly marked with the selected company in the Branded as dropdown will be included in the class.
Simply using the “Drives for companies” setting, which allows activating company tags, does not apply this filter. If a vehicle is only marked under “Drives for companies” and not “Branded as,” it will not be considered part of the vehicle class.
- Make filter: You can filter the class with the make of the vehicles by either including or excluding specific makes. To make sure this filter applies, you need to type in the type of the vehicle in the vehicle information in the vehicle list.
- Tags-filter: You can filter the class by the tags that are applied to your vehicles by either including or excluding specific tags. To make sure this filter applies, you need to activate the filter under the general settings of the vehicles.
5. Properties: Set specific booking options for the vehicle class. You can set a minimum booking notice and enable or disable ASAP bookings.
