To use the Discover Permissions action on a folder, list item, or file, complete the following steps:
- Navigate to the List or Library which contains the necessary folder/item[s].
- Select the folder/item[s] on which you want to discover permissions. This can be done by hovering over the item and clicking in the radio button on the left of the item name.
- Click on the ellipses and choose Discover Permissions from the menu.
The permissions report will be displayed in a dialog window. If you select more than one item, the report will discover permissions for all items in the order displayed in the list.
