In the details page of a published object, you can quickly unpublish an object with a single click using the “Unpublish” button. This action will instantly withdraw any published version, returning the object to draft status.

This feature is designed to empower users with Write permissions, enabling them to efficiently and effectively manage the content displayed to end-users.

How to Unpublish Objects

  1. Navigate to the Details view of a published object.
  2. Select the ‘Tools’ drop-down.
  3. Select ‘Unpublish’.
  4. The object will withdraw any published version and put the object back in draft status. Once the object is unpublished, it acts exactly as an object that is ‘In Progress’ (draft).

How do I Republish?

  1. Select on the ‘Publish’ button.
  2. Users will be prompted to choose to republish the object as a Major, Minor or Keep the Same Version Number.
  3. When ready, click ‘Publish’.
  4. For the needs of this example, we chose to keep the same version. The object will be republished.

Additional Rules

  • Users can unpublish an object that is currently ‘In Progress’ but that has previous published versions.
  • Users with the appropriate security settings will be able to see and edit the object, but users operating only in ‘Published’ mode, the object will not be accessible or visible.
