5.6.2. Update Grids

Update grids, also known as editable grids, can be both viewed and modified—whether by the inclusion of new data or the alteration of existing data. Update grids generally appear in two variations or interaction modes:

1. With Inline Operations
2. With Modal Operations

!Although this distinction is observed in most cases, it is not uncommon for a grid to diversely combine these functions. A grid, for example, can contain both Add and Inline Edit as functions, if required. These types of grid will be explored and explained in more detail later in this manual. Please note, however, that it is not possible for a grid to utilize more than one add function.
