In this example, we split off the parcel below.
This parcel has two central angels or delta angels, the radius and the lengths of the curve.
MOST of the time the user isn’t given the length, so for this example we will pretend we don’t know that information.
Review Split by COGO instructions.
CHOOSE parent parcel in parcel layer.
EDIT mode.
SPLIT by COGO
SET Waypoint
CHOOSE POB
ADD calls until you get to the central angle.
First Central Angel
LEAVE CALL LINE BLANK for the central angle
CLICK Add on the blank line
The Curve Parameters box will open.
Curve Radius: 300
Curve Left
Central Angle: Written with a decimal point. Example: 12°56’00” = 12.56
Tangent Curve
CLICK Update
ADD regular call.
Second Central Angel
LEAVE CALL LINE BLANK for the central angle
CLICK Add on the blank line
The Curve Parameters box will open.
Curve Radius: 300
Curve RIGHT
Central Angle: Written with a decimal point. Example: 22°85’00” = 22.85
Tangent Curve
CLICK Update
FINISH Adding calls.
APPLY
Notice the lines that were blank above have been filled in.
ALIGN Vertices (to get rid of any legs).
