This is a general overview of grain storage systems that may exist in the counties and how they are classified/entered in LandMark. If cost is locally defined, county must set those up specially in the miscellaneous cost table.

Grain Bin Storage
Regular grain storage bin.

Shape: Use Circle or Cylinder both will calculate the same.
Length/Width: Enter diameter in EITHER Length or Width. If length is blank, then the width will be used and vice versa.
Height: Enter straight wall height.
Total Units: If bushels are known, user may add here. Otherwise, the system will automatically figure them if width and height are entered.

Grain Bin Drying
Grain bin with dryer floor, fans, vents etc. Dryer bins usually have electric and/or lp or natural gas running to it to power it.

Shape: Circle and Cylinder will calculate the same.
Length/Width: Enter diameter in EITHER Length or Width. If length is blank, then the width will be used and vice versa.
Height: Enter straight wall height.
Total Units: If bushels are known, user may add here. Otherwise, the system will automatically figure them if width and height are entered.

MEASURED IN TONNAGE

Bulk Feed Tanks
Bulk Feed Tanks can be made out of many things, steel or corrugated metal are the most common. They may be round or square. They can be short or tall enough to drive a truck under them. The one thing they all have in common is a hopper (cone shaped) bottom.

Bulk Feed Tank Single: Misc Code: BFT1 OR Bulk Feed Tank Double: Misc Code: BFT2

Shape: Cylinder/Cone
Length/Width: Enter diameter in EITHER Length or Width. If length is blank, then the width will be used and vice versa.
Height: Enter straight wall height. DON’T include hopper bottom height.
Total Units: If tonnage is known, user may add here. Otherwise, the system will automatically figure them if width and height are entered.

Misc Code: GLNP Measured in height, locally defined.
