GPS Location Coordinates may be added to a Field Card (Review Sheet) in Field Editor by using a cell phone IF the tablet DOESN’T have built in GPS receivers.

Tablet IS equipped with an internal GPS
By default, the application uses the Microsoft System.Device.Location service to estimate the tablet’s location.
Most Windows tablets do not have built in GPS receivers. But if they do, it will be used by the service.
The service works by Wi-Fi or cell phone tower triangulation, so the position estimates accuracy is dependent on the number of triangulation sources available.

The table IS NOT equipped with an internal GPS, the best option is to use a cell phones GPS receiver.
This requires a third party GPS sharing application, we recommend:

For Androids:
Share GPS (jillybunch.com from Jillybunch)

For iPhones
GPS 2 I‪P (‎GPS 2 IP on the App Store — apple.com)

Both apps share the devices GPS data in a standard NMEA format over a Bluetooth connection.
Any application that provides these two features should work as well. ‬

Setting Up Share GPS
DOWNLOAD/INSTALL appropriate app from the app store
OPEN the Shape GPS app— using the menu in the upper right corner
SELECT Settings

In Settings

CHECK BOX to Create NMEA

Using the Connections Tab
SELECT the Add button
CREATE a Bluetooth connection for your tablet

In the Connection Settings Form:
SELECT the Activity option

In the Activity Settings:
SELECT the Share GPS using NMEA option

Once the Activity is set to Share the GPS using NMEA, a Connection Method option will display.

In the Connection Method settings:
SELECT the option to Use Bluetooth to Send NMEA to the device

ENTER a Name for the connection
SELECT the Next button

You will then be prompted to pair your phone with the tablet.
