Uploading a data file is a three-step process.
Step 1: To access the upload menu there are two possible ways. When within the Devices page press the Upload data files button which is located on the top right side to initiate the upload process
Or select the File upload screen directly by accessing it within the menu on the left side if available.
Step 2: Select File(s). Choose the data file(s) and click the Upload File(s) button.
Step 2: Check File(s). After the data files are uploaded, in the second step the system will check the integrity of the files. You will be notified if any file is invalid or its integrity has been compromised or if the file has been uploaded to the system earlier.
Step 3: Process Files. Finally, click the Process File(s) button to store the data in the system. If any device ID does not exist in the system, this process will also ensure the inclusion of the device ID in the system. If the devices are already associated with any shipment, this process will also make updates to the shipment information such as filling in the start time of the shipment.
After the files are processed, the results will be shown in the Results section. You will be notified about how many of the files have been processed and how many of them are ignored.
Step 4 (Only applicable for Fridge-tag data files): Select Timezone. The timezone can be selected when uploading the file. The last setting will be stored as a default, no need to choose the timezone every time when uploading. To be sure that you have chosen the right timezone you have to confirm the timezone with “OK”.
Only applicable for CLm doc family, TempTale & SmartMonitor devices: file e-mail data upload
Data files can be sent by E-mail to SmartView. The mail does not need a subject and the body should be empty. The e-mail address for the e-mail data upload is logger-upload@upload.smartview.cloud.
