An important functionality of SmartView is alarm management, as the application not only documents the event alarm but also enables you to investigate and process an alarm.
As soon as an event alarm is identified, SmartView will send out notification to pre-defined recipients and the alarm must be evaluated, acknowledged and eventually closed.
A user can view all the historical alarms reported against a shipment or a sector. Further on it is possible for a user to note down the root cause and action taken for an event alarm.
This helps users to identify the most frequent causes and the user can define preventive action for identified causes. It is also possible for the users to acknowledge an event alarm so that the system stops sending a notification message for an alarm. After acknowledging an alarm, the user can close the alarm to indicate the proper handling of the situation.
