Acknowledge an Alarm

In order to stop receiving notifications about an open alarm, it is important to acknowledge this.

You have various options to acknowledge an alarm:

From the homepage

You can easily acknowledge an alarm from the homepage, by clicking on the and then choose ‘Acknowledge Excursion’.

From the Excursion overview

From the Alarm list, you can choose to acknowledge your excursion by clicking on the and choose ‘Acknowledge Excursion’.

From the ‘View Excursion’ page

You also have the option to acknowledge the excursion by choosing to view the details of the excursion and click on .

From the Graph

Another possibility to acknowledge excursions is to go to the graph on the alarm details page and acknowledge the desired alarm directly from the graph, as shown below:

After the excursion has been acknowledged

After the excursion has been acknowledged by one of the recipients, SmartView will send out an acknowledgment email informing all recipients about this action. The email will contain information about who has acknowledged the excursion, which other recipients are aware of this, what the excursion details are, the root cause, and the action taken.

Once the excursion has been acknowledged, SmartView will stop sending out notifications about the particular excursion, as this has already been processed by a user and has been taken into account.
