Stand Alone Operation / Hardwired Control Example /

Operation

For this example, the PLC programmer’s logic will act upon the Cycle pushbutton inputs to activate their logic to instruct the RaptorLinx-Ai-ST to select the desired User Profile and then to energize the Run signal. The selection of each of the configured profiles is based upon a binary pattern of the User Profile 0 and User Profile 1 digital inputs on the RaptorLinx-Ai-ST.

Cycle Profile User Profile Input 1 User Profile Input 0
Cycle 1 Profile 0  OFF   OFF
Cycle 2 Profile 1  OFF   ON
Cycle 3 Profile 2  ON   OFF
Cycle 4 Profile 3  ON   ON

RUN Signal

Regardless of which combination of User Profile Inputs are ON or OFF; the RUN signal must be turned ON in order to cause the motor to run.

Motor Error and Clear Motor Error Signals

When the Motor Error signal becomes active, the motor will stop and no longer respond to any cycle of the RUN signal or changes in the User Profile Inputs. The Clear Motor Error signal must be momentarily energized to clear the error condition which will then turn OFF the Motor Error Output. Once the Motor Error Output is OFF, the RUN Input can be turned ON to resume motor operation using the profile as indicated by the User Profile Inputs.
