Network Operation with Remote PLC

A RaptorLinx-Ai-ST controller can be set-up to operate as a remote device on a PLC controller’s Ethernet network. Instead of simple hardwired 24V signals being connected to instruct the controller to operate; the remote PLC can access all of the control functions and status from the RaptorLinx-Ai-ST over its control network.

Depending upon the specific PLC’s Ethernet Network Protocol; the PLC’s project program can provide the Profile settings without requiring EasyRoll+ software to configure the desired run profiles. With remote PLC access, no hardwired signals other than Drive Enable is required to operate the RaptorLinx-Ai-ST. The remote PLC’s program logic can control the RaptorLinx-Ai-ST as it would any remote device.
