These resources also support consistency among trainers, assessors, and facilitators from one club to the next. Training and assessment resources will improve the training experience for candidates and delivery personnel if appropriately used.

All training materials will be available from the new LSV Club Gateway before the commencement of the season. Only current training and assessment resources should be used; outdated resources will impact the ability to issue member awards and qualifications.

Course Manuals/eManuals

Course manuals contain the most comprehensive course content and should be available to each candidate as a reference throughout the training and assessment activities. As theory assessments are open book, candidates can use these resources during assessment activities.

Online eLearning

Online learning is available for many courses and assists in making training more flexible for candidates. It can be completed at the candidate’s convenience but must be completed before face-to-face training.

PowerPoints (PP)

Each course (excluding Gold Medallion) has a training PowerPoint, which guides a Trainer through the teaching components of the course. The PowerPoint is a content summary that complements the Trainer’s knowledge of practical activities.

Trainer Assessor Guide (TAG)

A TAG is a resource that provides overall guidance to Trainers, Assessors and Facilitators regarding the course. The session plan guides the content and covers the course training and assessment activities.

Candidate Resource Kit (CRK)

A CRK is a resource provided to each candidate for a course. It provides guidance, information, and advice to support the candidate’s learning. The content includes introducing different classroom activities and explaining course assessment tasks.
