How to book a concurrent course

When booking a First Aid, ART or ARTFA course, book a separate CPR course using the same TAF/s and ensure that the number of candidates does not exceed 24 in total across the two courses. If you need to adjust the numbers to balance out the needs of your members, use the edit courses function, and the VT team will adjust your course numbers.

How to manage the Trainer App for concurrent courses

Pre Course

  • Download both courses to the club iPad
  • Check eLearning status

On Course – All Candidates

  • Ensure all candidates for the Main course (FA, ART or ARTFA) sign into the correct course
  • Switch to the CPR course and have the candidates sign in to their nominated course.
  • Follow the session plan and assess all candidates for the CPR Component.
  • Ensure all CPR candidates are marked ‘Competent or Not Yet Competent’ on the CPR Course
  • Have the CPR Candidates sign off their completion before departing
  • Validate the CPR course and upload results for processing

On Course – Main course Candidates

  • Switch to the Main course and follow the session plan for that course.
  • Assess all remaining candidates, capturing any evidence photos as you progress
  • Ensure all remaining candidates are marked ‘Competent or Not Yet Competent’ on the Main Course
  • Have the remaining candidates sign off their completion before departing.

Post Course

  • Validate the course, ensuring all evidence has been collected and upload results for processing
