Expectations
- Ensure complete and timely attendance at all training sessions and assessment activities.
- The needs of others will be understood and respected.
- The rights of others will be respected regardless of gender, ethnicity, religion, culture, sexuality, ability, and age.
- Avoid actions that someone might consider bullying or harassment.
- Behave honestly and with integrity.
- Always act with care and diligence
- Treat everyone with respect and courtesy and without harassment.
- Comply with applicable Australian laws.
- Comply with any lawful and reasonable direction given by someone in the LSV organisation with the authority to provide that direction.
- Not provide false or misleading information in response to a request for information.
- At all times, behave in a way that upholds the values, integrity, and reputation of LSV.
Not make improper use of: - Inside information
- Duties, status, authority, to gain or seek to gain a benefit or advantage for the volunteer or any other person.
- Follow reasonable instructions from LSV concerning health and safety requirements.
Candidates are expected to take responsibility (in line with all current workplace practices and legislation) for their learning and behaviour during training and assessment activities. Any breaches will result in the candidate being given a verbal warning. Further violations may result in the candidate having to “show cause” why they should not be excluded from further participation in the course.
The above behaviour expectations are in addition to the Member expectations agreed upon Membership registration/renewal with Life Saving Victoria (LSV) and Surf Life Saving Australia (SLSA).
