Templates contain one or more Tables/Reports with specific configurations and allow you to access Actions not on the ribbon.

Each template belongs to one of the Template Types below.

Type Description
Add To Batch Use to add posted transactions back into the same batch month in Vista. Isolate and select multiple records at once instead of one by one in Vista.
Batches Use to work with the various Batch Actions from creating a batch to posting the batch.
Company Copy Use to create a new company in Vista using the setup of an existing company.
Financials Use to download both Tables associated with the Financial Statement setup.
Mimic Use to download data from one table into another table. For example, you can download the AP Unapproved Invoice data directly into a JC Cost Adjustment batch for an easy accrual.
Process Use one of the special processes to replicate a Vista task.
Sandbox Use with the multiple examples throughout the user guide.
Setup Use to add new setups and/or maintain existing setups.

You can also create custom templates by saving the Tables/Reports on the TAD sheet in the Excel workbook. By going this route, you’re saving the specific layouts, parameters and other characteristics of the Tables/Reports to use again. It also provides you with a backup in case you change/delete anything from the TAD sheet.
