Evidence of a good classroom conduct

● The teacher’s arrival announces a new period; students are expected to be ready to start work and seated at the sound of the second bell.

• During a period, students may leave their seats only with the teacher’s permission.
• The bell indicates to the teacher that the period has ended; it is up to the teacher to excuse the students.
• Once finished with a test or exam, a student should wait quietly until dismissed by the teacher.
• Students should have all their books, supplies, and materials with them at the beginning of every class.
• Eating, drinking (except for water), and chewing gum are not allowed during class periods.
• Smartphones are to be kept silent and out of sight. They should be used responsibly when authorized.
• Material that may distract students from teaching and learning is to be kept away during class time.
• Students are strictly prohibited from wearing smartwatches at school because they lose focus in class due to the messages they might receive during lessons.
  

Students who do not meet the expectations for classroom conduct will participate in restorative activities and receive appropriate disciplinary consequences.
