International College’s dress code reinforces its philosophy and objectives in educating self–disciplined young men and women with positive self-images.
IC students are expected to abide by the following dress code:

  • Keep their stomachs covered at all times and not wear tight or short skirts, revealing torn clothes, tank tops, spaghetti straps, military clothing, or inappropriate makeup. Shirts must cover the midriff and back.
  • Shorts, skirts, and dresses must be no shorter than right above knee level.
  • Tights and leggings may be worn to school as long as they are opaque and not see-through. Leggings, pantyhose, and/or stockings made of a sheer material must be covered by an appropriate top or skirt that is longer than the student’s fingers when the student is standing, and the arms are extended at his/her side.
  • Hats / hoodies are not to be worn inside the College buildings.
  • Abstain from wearing clothing with inappropriate content, including, but not limited to: foul language, and references to alcohol, tobacco, drugs, political parties, or gangs.
  • Personal hygiene must be attended to at all times of the day, especially after PE.
  • Clothing may not be see-through; undergarments may not be visible.
  • Students must always wear footwear. Flip-flops or slides are not permitted.
  • Body piercing is not allowed.
  • The school is not responsible for any lost jewelry.

Students who fail to observe the dress code will be asked to remove the offending article of clothing (if possible), cover the offending article of clothing, or will be required to return home to change.
