IC aims to develop personal qualities leading to self-discipline, regulation, and self-confidence through the following:
- The Middle School is a community, and taking care of its property is the responsibility of all of its members.
- Any damage to school property or property utilized by IC (classrooms, corridors, playgrounds, buses, etc.) that cannot be attributed to a specific individual will be the responsibility of the entire class, and all students will be charged for repairs.
- The Middle School expects all students to be honest and behave accordingly.
- Any dishonest behavior (such as theft, lying, etc.) will result in severe disciplinary measures that may lead to expulsion.
- Substance possession and use (cigarettes, alcohol, drugs, etc.) are strictly prohibited by all school rules and regulations. Severe disciplinary measures will be applied. Students involved risk expulsion and police involvement.
- The use of foul language or physical violence of any sort will not be tolerated.
- Safety and Security: All types of safety hazards (including but not limited to Firecrackers, smoke bombs, stink bombs, etc.) are strictly prohibited. Any kind of vandalism to school property is a major offense. A student involved in such an act will have to compensate for damage incurred and suffer severe disciplinary measures.
- When student safety is at stake, the school reserves the right to access students’ personal belongings.
- Conduct in hallways and other public areas is to be quiet and orderly at all times.
- Card playing and gambling are forbidden on campus.
- All types of commercial transactions between students at school are forbidden.
- Every student should always carry her/his IC ID and be ready to produce it when asked to do so.
- Students are encouraged to write their name and class on all their belongings to identify them in the event of a loss.
- Students will assist in maintaining a clean and attractive campus. Disciplinary measures will be taken in case of littering and dirty classrooms.
- A substitute teacher has the same authority as the class teacher. Students should show proper respect and do the work required.
Note: All of the standards and expectations listed above apply to the IC campus as well as any off-campus school-supervised events.
