The Civic Commitment and Service-Learning Program (CCSL) is designed in line with the IC mission to foster a spirit of responsibility, creativity, citizenship, and social awareness as well as to offer students an opportunity to learn about and volunteer with different institutions and Non-Governmental Organizations working in Lebanon. The CCSL program is a requirement for all students to be promoted.
The program themes are designed under the umbrella of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) adopted by the United Nations and target social challenges such as poverty, hunger, education, responsible consumption, and preservation of the environment.
The program aims to provide students with positive experiences that will help them build their character and develop new skills to become responsible global citizens.
The program evolves over the years to promote student agency, instill life and civic skills and create links to the curriculum.
