A Text static object is used to add labels onto a report.
ID
| UID |
This is a unique identifier for the item on the report. An example could be Text_Title. |
| Band |
This shows the band the text item is currently placed in. |
You can not edit the Band field. If you need to change which band the text item is in, drag it in the Designer area to the band you wish the item to be in.
Position
The position and size of the Text item is set here. All dimensions are in pixels and are using the coordinate system of the band they are in.

The width of the item. |
| Height |
The height of the item. |
| Locked |
When ticked, prevents the item being dragged around in the Designer area. |
Appearance
| Border |
Adds a border around the Text item. |
| ForeColor |
The colour of the text. |
| FillColor |
The colour of the text background. |
| Visible |
Sets if the Text item is visible in the report. |
Font
The font and style of the text in the Text item.
| TextFont |
Choose the desired font from the dropdown menu. |
| TextSize |
The font size in pixels. |
| Bold |
When ticked, makes the text bold. |
| Italic |
When ticked, makes the text italic. |
| Underline |
When ticked, the text is underlined. |
| Alignment |
The text alignment is chosen from the dropdown menu. |
Displayed Value

The text to be displayed in the item. |
Behaviour
| CanGrow |
If true, the items height will be adjusted at run time to display all the text. |
| WrapLines |
Determines if the Text item should wrap the text to fit the size of the item. |
