Schedule by Position
In limited release, Console’s 4.3.3 release features a new scheduling method- schedule by position! This feature was designed to improve ease of use when scheduling a large number of employees or scheduling employees across multiple positions.

This feature is the result of extensive customer feedback, user testing, and development hours galore! Benefits include:

  • Optimize Schedule. Assign positions to shifts.
  • Schedule with confidence. Employees grouped by position provide at-a-glance insight into staffing levels.
  • Save time. Accomplish more tasks in the shift scheduler screen.
  • Knowledge is power. More information at your fingertips.

Enable the position scheduling method from Settings > Store Settings > General Settings > Settings > Schedule > Method > Position. Once enabled, your store’s view of the work schedule is updated so that employees are grouped by position. Employees assigned to multiple positions are listed in each position.

As shifts are assigned to an employee, the schedule is updated across each assigned position, to avoid overlapping shifts scheduling.

The schedule by employee method is still available and remains the ideal scheduling method for managers with less complex scheduling needs.

Salaried Employee Costs included in Work Schedule
Labor costs are now calculated for your salaried employees included in the work schedule. Now, the total labor costs and estimated labor percentages more accurately measure planned labor expenses. Salaried costs are normalized to a daily rate, that is applied regardless of scheduled hours.

Aloha Labor Reports
More detailed labor reports are now available to Console customers with the Aloha point of sale integration. Reports include:

  • Labor Cost: View your labor cost breakdown for any given period of time
  • Pay Period: View your payroll cost and trend from pay period to pay period

Requires Employee Management subscription. Available with Aloha POS integration.

Take Inventory History
Now you can review the history of inventory takes directly from the Take Inventory module. Simply click “View History” from “More Options” to view submission details and/or modify records.
